What is the etiquette regarding asking a convenience store cashier out? Basically, is that a big “No.” Or is there a special way it needs to be approached to avoid anything becoming awkward, or creepy? Thanks.

unless you are sure that her boss will not mind, it is best to just pass her a note with your contact on it. Tell her how much you like her and if she does, smile at you the next time you come to the store.
This way, there wont be any awkwad conversations, and the ball is in her court. smiling is harmless too and easy to do. as compared to giving you a call!
